Martin, the wonderful owner of El Hogar Mexican Restaurant next to that space told me that it will be a Taco Bell. I remarked to him, "Why would anyone build a Mexican restaurant next to another one?" Ordinarily a man of friendly composure, he showed a little bit of irritability as he replied, "That's not Mexican food."I agree with him. If you want authentic, quality Mexican food then go to El Hogar. They even serve breakfast there. Open to 2am.
They must have changed their recipes and cooks because I tried them before and it wasn't as good as it was today. I had the steak and chicken tacos and the chili it was amazing.
Good authentic restaurant. My husband has been coming here forever! He normally brings home their salsa which is like liquid fire but you just cannot stop eating it We both went in today and got their enchilada dinners which was very yummy! A hidden gem for sure!!
Absolutely delicious! I had the shrimp cocktail, guacamole and chips, and beef burrito, also chicken soup was delicious. Seasoning is on point . Restaurant is beyond clean. Bathroom impeccable. Highly recommend !!!
This place is perfect for a quick bite or if you're looking to get a late dinner. I've been coming here for four years now and they have raised there prices quite a bit. Their portion sizes have also reduced. I remember before the plates would be busting with food! Nevertheless, the food is still super authentic and good. The establishment is also very clean, which is always a plus. If you don't want to dine in they have a drive-thru and take out service.
